Hello EmiSwappers!

Our token sale is now in full swing, and some of you have already seized the chance to get an NFT Magic Card for free. But how will you farm your Magic Cards when the platform is live? Let’s learn more about our NFT farming program — a unique approach to DeFi liquidity mining that lets you get as many Magic Cards as you wish!

Yield farming 101

In case you’re not familiar with yield farming, here’s a quick breakdown. Many DeFi projects reward users with their native coins for contributing value to the system. This is the essence of farming or liquidity mining: you lock up some crypto in a smart contract (say, lending or trading) and regularly receive some tokens in return.

Farming is extremely popular, but the problem is that tokens are issued in huge numbers, so the inflation rate is high. Sooner or later, the token price falls, making yield farming a race against time for users: you have to sell those reward tokens before they collapse.

EmiSwap found a creative solution to the problem: instead of encouraging users to mine our native token ESW (whose emission is limited, by the way), we let them ‘cultivate’ new Magic Cards — unique NFTs that convey various privileges and bonuses.

Why should you farm Magic Cards?

NFT Magic Cards by EmiSwap have several advantages over regular DeFi tokens:

  • As an NFT (non-fungible token), every card is unique or at least very rare and has its own inherent value.
  • Cards provide various benefits: instant ESW token bonuses, faster mining, easier exchange for higher-tier cards, participation in battle tournaments (similar to Magic: the Gathering), etc.
  • Rare cards can appreciate rapidly over time.
  • Special Battle Cards provide access to members-only contests and giveaways.
  • They make the whole process of trading and swapping on EmiSwap fun and exciting.
  • They look beautiful and cool — a sort of digital artwork.

NFT Magic Cards are the first product that combines NFTs and DeFi to achieve synergy and gamification on every level. So how do you farm them?

The mechanics of Magic Card farming

To farm a free card for your collection, you’ll need to stake a certain amount of ESW and a corresponding amount of another crypto (ETH, DAI, UNI, USDC, or ETH) in our liquidity pools for a certain period of time. How many and for how long? Well, that depends on which rank (tier) you want your new card to be: Ordinary, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary.

We’ll release the details for each pool soon. Your farming dashboard will look something like this:

Our pools are organized in such a way that, even if you don’t have many coins, you’ll still be able to farm Magic Cards and quickly expand your collection.

If you wish to split your ESW holdings and grow more than one coin at the same time, you can do that using different staking pools. For example, you could farm a new Ordinary card every few days while you let a Rare card mature slowly.

To sum up: farming is an easy way to expand your Magic Card collection 100% for free. As long as you keep your ESW staked, you’ll be getting new cards regularly. And don’t forget that you can still join the EmiSwap token sale and get a bonus Magic Card for free — as long as you are among the first 1,000 token sale buyers!
